Antonia is contacting me by email. Only later I notice that she also messaged me on Line first. It appears everybody is consequently trying to avoid sending me emails as they know these can be used in court. They all appear to be really afraid of something. That makes one wonder what else is going on in this company that is violating the law.

My lawyer CC’s me on a response to Patrick. It appears Patrick had sent him an email the day before at 16:19, adding the message he supposedly had just sent me.

The things that come to my attention are:

  • It is amazing which hoops he jumps through, instead of just sending me an email. He messaged me on 4 different channels that don’t count in court and even emailed my lawyer, but he did not simply email me. He has my address. This is suspicious.
  • Even in his email signature he avoids giving himself any position and just calls himself founder. Which matches with him working there illegally.

I leave my apartment towards Singburi. I stop at a gas station just before Ayutthaya. I go on and at 9:55 Antonia calls me twice.

I don’t answer her calls as on the one hand I am driving and on the other hand I need to insist on people sending me emails, so we have all facts in writing for later on. Given that we agreed on this appointment by email the night before, I would expect that she gives me any relevant updates by email.

As I know that they all try to avoid email like it’s the devil, after a few minutes driving I pull over and casually check Line. I see three missed messages from Antonia. I do not open them as she knows that I need all communication to be by email. I look at the message preview though and it says the appointment has been postponed to next week wednesday.

I leave the highway and stop at the next exit. 10:13 I call my lawyer who calls back 10:17 and advises me to still attend the meeting at the agreed upon time. If nobody shows up or contacts me in writing to postpone the meeting, I should file a police report.

I’m entering the labour department parking lot. There is no company car nor Antonia’s car around. I’m at the door about 11:02. I enter the building, walk through all main corridors once, then leave and sit down on the stairs in front. Somebody takes a picture of me:

As all my photos, it is geo-tagged and can proof I was there. The pointer on the map is slightly off, in fact I’m standing right where is says ‘Singburi Provincial City Hall’.

My Google location history shows the same:

I want to give everybody involved a fair chance to attend to this urgent matter, but after waiting for 20 minutes I have enough. They make me drive across the country to attend an urgent meeting with less than 24 hours heads up but don’t attend themselves without updating me properly on any changes.

I head to the building next door which on Google Maps is labeled as Police. I call my lawyer at 11:22 to help me translate but it turns out this is a court building. The lady at the info-table explains to me how to get to the police station.

I head back to my car parked right in front of the labour department office building. At 11:27 still no signs of anybody coming. I drive to where the lady in the court building explained. It’s about 9 minutes drive plus the time I need to park my car. I enter the police station 11:38 and pull out my phone to call my lawyer. That very moment I get an email from Antonia.

She is correct about calling and messaging, yet she has not sent me an email. She now puts it like she had been waiting there all along and I was the one not attending. My lawyer asks me to hand the phone to the police officer whom he talks to for a few minutes. When I get the phone back, my lawyer advises me to email back to Antonia while I’m waiting for the police to take my report.

After I sent this email, the police takes my report. Essentially they call my lawyer from their phone and he explains the case. They write it all down. They hand me a copy and I leave the police building around noon.

I take my car to the closeby Mazda service center to get some issues inspected, then check into a hotel right next to the labour department. I don’t feel well going back to the company accommodation in Singburi which is on office grounds, but I want to be close to the labour department so I can attend any further meetings coming up. But they do not contact me at all.
